This information is very important, for all of us.
- Attendance is mandatory according to these criteria. You should come to--at least--75% of the classes to be able to pass with the "minimum passing mark" (4.0). If not, you need to obtain a 5.5 to pass, with resit exam or without it. These are the new regulations of the programme for ALL students.
- It is necessary that you write down, very carefully, the instructions of assignments that I give to you in class. If you don't follow instructions given, there will be discounts in your mark.
- All assignments must have: Date, title, and author's name. They also must come double spaced.
- Assignments without author's name, or they are sent by email (unless told so) shall not be graded.
- Never leave assignments with the secretaries. They already have enough to do, and that gives them additional responsibilities. Turn your assignment in, as told in class.
- It's highly recommendable that you type your assignments. That way you can keep a copy of them, and it can be checked more easily. If you can't type it--for any reasons--hand write it, but make sure it is neat and readable (incomprehensible phrases or words will be considered as "grammar mistakes").
- Be aware that there are levels of mistakes. We have the very serious elementary mistakes (usually mistakes related to number agreement and or use of auxiliaries, letter S in third person singular), punctuation mistakes (any), common mistakes (all other mistakes) and typos (missing or extra letters, or similar irregularity.). An elementary mistake will have double reduction of points.
